6 Easter-Inspired Home Staging Ideas

If you know anything about real estate or keep a keen eye on the blog, you already understand how important staging is to the whole process. While many homeowners hire professionals to do the staging, this is something that can be DIY-ed. Here are some easter-inspired home staging ideas that might come in handy when you're trying to sell your home in spring.

1.      Add spring-friendly matte colors to your home

If you are going to paint the whole house or repaint some parts of it, you might as well bring spring into the walls.

Light blue, faded salmon, chalky white – these are all eastery colors. You can add pastel or matte versions of these and give your home a spring accent.

2.      Cheerful wall hangings are better

Many people, like me, have darker and moody wall hangings in their living room and bedrooms. Even though an odd piece is a good conversation starter, these darker portraits or decorations, in the words of Marie Kondo, do not bring joy to visitors.

So, use floral and nature-inspiring decorations or wall hanging to lighten up the room as if it was the Easter holidays. Remember, the more color you use in your home, the brighter and more cheerful your home will look. So, lean into it and try out different wall hanging in different places. See what compliments your home furniture the best.

3.      Why not bring nature itself?

If we are talking about bringing easter and spring into your home, why not bring nature itself inside.

The best way to do this is by bringing plants and putting them in open spaces of your home. If you have a multistoried building, the balcony is the perfect place to put colorful plants. Window boxes and door fronts are also good places to showcase some greenery.

4.      Easter eggs make eggcellent centerpieces

You can't have an easter theme without easter eggs, can you?

Put colorful eggs on a crustal bowl or in a vase. Put it on a coffee table, on top of the fireplace or anywhere in the living room. It'll add color to your otherwise boring home.

5.      Take advantage of your garden or lawn

If you have open space, take advantage of it.

Use easter decoration to add eastery vibe in the bushes. Don't go overboard. Keep it subtle. Also, set a table outside if you have a suitable open space. Setting the table will add a feature to your space and add character to your home. An empty space that barely caught people's attention is now a place to hang out in the afternoon. If this doesn't make your home more appealing, then nothing would.

6.      Embrace nature and its scent

If you are going to use air fresheners or aromatic humidifiers, use natural scents. It will compliment all the changes you made and make visitation more springy. If you use oil in your humidifier to add fragrance, switch to a grassy or mossy-scented oil. If you are using scented candles, pick floral scents. These will go well with the bright wall hangings and plants you used to decorate your home.
